Wildlife Feces Cleanup
Rodent, Bat, Racoon, Pigeon Feces
If you discover that a family of racoons, squirrels, bats or mice is living in your home, attic, shed or garage, it is as important to have the area decontaminated as it is to get rid of the infestation. The reason for that is that these animals leave behind droppings that create a major health risk for anyone who may enter the area or disturb the material. Even simply breathing in the contaminated area can cause infection and development of Hantavirus Pulmonary Syndrome, Raccoon Roundworm, Histoplasmosis and other very serious diseases. It is also important to note that the droppings may contaminate the air circulation system, which can mean harmful exposure without even entering the contaminated area.
Once our technicians have safely removed the contaminated material, it is important that they properly decontaminate the area in order to kill any parasites that may be left behind. Home invaders are often infested with fleas, tickes, lice and mites. Once the host animals have been removed, these pests may try to take up residence in your home, potentially transmitting diseases.
